Program description:

During this session we will discuss the epidemic of HPV related cancers. We will review how one gets HPV, how HPV causes pre cancers and 6 different types of cancers that occur in both men and women. We will also discuss how to protect against these infections with the HPV vaccine-specifically its safety, efficacy, and durability. We will also briefly review screening recommendations for HPV cancers. Most importantly, you will learn about your role in protecting others from getting these cancers and evidenced based methods you can use to raise your system's HPV vaccination rates.
